ValueCreation.ca exists for one kind of owner: someone who has built an established Canadian company, still runs much of it personally, and wants it to be worth more in a few years than it is today. We help that owner see the drivers of enterprise value clearly, plan the work to move them, and stay with the plan long enough for the improvement to become a track record.

We are a Canadian business consulting service within the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. The practice is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, works with owners in every province and territory, and is led by Ali Sedighi, MBA.

The group behind the practice

ValueCreation.ca sits within a small group of related Canadian companies, each with a defined role.

  • Sedighi.ca, Ali's own consulting company, works on growth, marketing and technology; value-creation clients meet it as the parent of this practice. Its other brands: HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca, Conv.ca.
  • SAZ.ca (Strategy & Acceleration Zone) handles strategy, AI and revenue-acceleration mandates in Canada. Ali is its Founder & Managing Partner, under Sedighi.ca's strategic leadership.
  • BusinessConsulting.ca publishes the group's consulting rates, which we use.
  • BizSell.ca is the group's business-sale and exit brand, alongside Sedighi.ca, covering valuation, exit readiness, M&A, succession and deal structuring.

The division of labour matters to our clients. ValueCreation.ca builds value over years. When an owner decides to sell, the transaction work moves to the group's exit practice, with the history of the value-creation work handed over intact.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi holds an MBA in Technology Management and has more than 17 years of experience, starting in 2007, when he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency. He now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Besides SAZ.ca, Ali founded Conv.ca, which specializes in conversion-rate optimisation, and MyAutomation.ca. His clients have been in Canada, the USA and Dubai. Through Sedighi.ca he has built more than 150 live HVAC websites, including CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca and HeatLand.

That background shapes how we approach value creation. Much of the work behind those sites was about building assets that keep producing after the build is finished: demand that does not depend on one salesperson, content that keeps attracting customers, and new business lines that stand on their own. The same thinking applies to a whole company. More background is on Ali's Sedighi.ca profile.

How we work

Our engagements follow four principles, and you will see them in every proposal.

  1. Measure before advising. Every engagement starts from evidence: your books, your customer data and interviews with your team. The value-driver assessment is how we do this.
  2. Fewer initiatives, finished. Three to five at a time, each with one owner and one number. Plans with twenty items rarely change anything.
  3. Your people own the results. We design, coach and track; your managers deliver. A company that improves only while a consultant is present has not really improved.
  4. Prove it over time. Quarterly re-scores and monthly numbers, held over two to five years, are what turn a claim into evidence.

What a typical engagement looks like

A diagnostic over a few weeks, a written value-creation plan with a 100-day start, then a monthly rhythm of check-ins and a quarterly review, either on a retainer or by the hour. We meet owners in person and online by video call, and between meetings we are reachable by phone, text and email.

What we will not do

We are careful about the edges of our work, because owners deserve to know exactly what they are getting.

  • We do not give valuation opinions, and we never promise a valuation or a sale price.
  • We do not provide securities, real-estate trading, legal or tax advice. We refer those questions to qualified professionals: a CPA, a lawyer, or a Chartered Business Valuator.
  • We do not publish client quotes, ratings or invented success stories. Our published results come from our HVAC work and are presented as such on the results page.
  • We do not promise outcomes to win work. Value depends on execution, markets and buyers, none of which any adviser controls.
